What is SPAWN ?

This is a huge gathering of gamers who all bring their PCs along to take part in a multiplayer gaming frenzy on our high-speed network. Forget the lag of the Internet and enjoy low-latency play of the games you enjoy the most. Whatever type of gamer you are - be it at hardcore FPS player or a casual RTS lover - you're sure to find our LAN party a haven of amazing multiplayer gaming.

On top of all this, our events are great social gatherings. Many gamers who have been playing together online for years have met for the first time face-to-face. An electrifying atmosphere both inside and outside of the gaming, combined with plenty of space to take a break and chat makes for a unique place to meet other gamers.As if the LAN party action wasn't enough, our event also play host to the Chandigarh's biggest tournaments.

Will I feel out of place?

Multiplayer gaming has a very wide appeal. Ages range anything from 8 to 50+, from many different backgrounds, and it's not just boys and men. Many more girls and women are getting into games and discovering the fun of multiplayer gaming.

There are no boundries at our events - nobody cares about age, gender, race or creed. If you're a gamer you belong at SPAWN.

Why is a LAN so much better than playing at home?

LAN stands for Local Area Network, which is a high-bandwidth and extremely fast method of connecting computers together so they can communicate information. The network that powers SPAWN gives 100 megabit connections, with the time taken for signals to go from your computer to others on the network measured in milliseconds.

When playing from home or online an average "ping" is around 30-80ms and this is generally considered acceptable. When on a LAN your ping time is virtually non existent and would normally be between 1ms and 5ms. In essence, it's simply a lot faster on a LAN and your games suffer from less "lag".

Of course all this speed isn't the only attraction of a LAN party. The main attraction has to be the social side. Nothing beats sitting next to like-minded gamers, and being in the thick of the action.

The SPAWN will be held at Shalimaar Mega Mall, Sector - 5, Panchkula (Sector -7 Roundabout).

What is the admission fee for SPAWN ?

Single Entry: Rs. 250

Clan Entry (5 Gamers): Rs. 1000 (Rs. 200 per Head)

How do I register ?

Can I bring my own Fridge, Music System, Coffee Maker, etc ?

No, that will blow the fuses and make everyone angry at you.

What game servers are provided ?

Public game servers which anyone at the event can join are provided for all popular games, including:

• Counter Strike 1.6
• World of Warcraft: DOTA
• Age of Empires
• Battlefield 2
• Call Of Duty 4
• Any game for which we get lots of requests from the Gamers

What about food and drink ?

There will be arrangements for Food and Drinks at the venue which shall be providing service round the clock for gamers. 

What if my computer or other stoff is broken/stolen at SPAWN?

Chandigarh Gaming is not responsible for any economical losses, direct or indirect, due to circumstanses connected to the event. However, we have never had any big problems with theft or malice earlier and we don't expect this year to be any different. We do however recommend you to not leave your stuff unattended or ask your friend to keep an eye.
